What are the responsibilities and job description for the Incoming Inspection Quality Technician II position at CONMED Corporation?
Purpose: Under general supervision, uses inspection procedures and working knowledge of inspection to inspect parts to prints, procedures and specifications in the receiving inspection area. In addition, completes data entry of results into business software. What You'll Do: Performs all incoming inspections of components and assemblies per released procedures and specifications. Uses Inspection Procedures and working knowledge of inspection techniques to inspect parts to blueprints, procedures and specifications in receiving inspection areas. Writes detailed inspection reports in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures on parts, products and processes that pass or fail inspection. Verify dimensional criteria of all manufactured parts to blueprint specifications and purchase order requirements. Inputs inspection information into computer quality data collection system. Assist in development of inspection procedures as directed. Become proficient at performing inspections requiring Levels I & II Metrology and the Vertex measuring machine listed on RI Training Matrix. (if applicable) Maintain 5S requirements. Perform other related duties as required by management. What You'll Bring: Experience: 2-5 years mechanical/electronic inspection required. Blueprint and/or Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance training required. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. A. S. Q. Certifications preferred, i.e.: CMI/CQT.
