What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Maintenance Technician position at Conlan Tire Co.?
Position Available:
- Maintenance Technician - Work in a fast-paced, team environment to help support the largest mounted tire programs in the country.
- Hourly pay starting from $26 to $35/hour based on technical capabilities
- M-F: 4am-12:30pm (Overtime as needed). Saturday’s as needed
- M-F 1pm – 9:30pm (Overtime as needed) Saturday’s as needed
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment including motors, conveyors, compressors, and production machinery
- Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment
- Diagnose electrical issues including motors, contactors, overloads, and control circuits
- Repair and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Replace bearings, belts, chains, sprockets, and other mechanical components
- Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely and safe manner
- Follow lockout/tagout and all safety procedures
- Maintain maintenance records and work orders
- Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills REQUIRED
- Experience working with electric motors, conveyors, and compressors
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience (multimeter use required)
- Experience with pneumatic systems
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work in an industrial environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Tire manufacturing or retread experience
- Manufacturing or production facility experience
- Experience with 480V electrical systems
- Welding and fabrication experience (a plus)
