ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Business Development & Marketing Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Catskill, NY. This multifaceted role is responsible for elevating the firm’s brand presence, sharing our design story, and guiding prospective clients smoothly from their first inquiry to a signed proposal.
Day-to-day responsibilities are split between driving marketing initiatives—including social media content, website updates, SEO, and promotional campaigns—and managing incoming inquiries, crafting project proposals, and maintaining strong client relationships. Additionally, this role supports the day-to-day operations of the studio through minor office administration and collaborates closely with the design team to ensure our outward-facing brand aligns with our architectural vision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Marketing & Brand Management: Lead and execute marketing initiatives, including managing social media channels, updating website content, implementing and maintaining SEO strategies, and creating promotional copy and blog posts.
- Client Relations & Proposals: Act as the first point of contact for new inquiries; nurture prospective client relationships, manage initial consultations, and draft tailored project proposals and fee agreements.
- Studio Outreach & Networking: Help expand the firm's presence within the Hudson Valley and Catskill regions by identifying community opportunities, managing professional networks, and tracking outreach efforts.
- Studio Administration: Support the daily flow of a small studio environment with general office administration, ensuring smooth operations and clear internal communication.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in marketing, communications, client relations, or studio management, preferably within architecture, interior design, construction, or creative professional services.
- Strong digital marketing fundamentals, with hands-on familiarity with social media platforms, basic website management, SEO concepts, and Google Analytics.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for storytelling and a warm, professional interpersonal approach.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Collaborative mindset and comfort wearing multiple hats in a tight-knit, creative studio environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- A genuine interest in architecture, residential design, and the Hudson Valley/Catskills community.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
