What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Success & Onboarding Engineer position at Conifers.ai?
Confiers.ai is a fast-growing cybersecurity startup transforming security operations centers (SOCs) with CognitiveSOC™, our AI SOC platform, helping enterprises and MSSPs to achieve SOC excellence. With teams in Tel Aviv and Dallas, we are building a global company that combines deep technical innovation with a sharp business focus.
We’re looking for a Customer Success & Onboarding Engineer who can serve as the technical bridge between our customers and our product. This role combines the hands-on work of implementing security integrations with relationship skills to guide customers through onboarding, adoption, and expansion.
What You’ll Do
- Onboarding & Implementation: Own the end-to-end onboarding process for new customers, from kickoff through go-live. This includes configuring integrations with SIEMs, EDR, SOAR, and security platforms like Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, CrowdStrike, and more.
- Customer Success Partnering: Serve as the primary technical contact post-sale, ensuring customer satisfaction, adoption, and expansion opportunities.
- Project Management: Run onboarding projects with clear timelines, milestones, and communication — translating complex security implementations into clear customer deliverables.
- Technical Expertise: Troubleshoot integrations, APIs, and security workflows; provide best-practice guidance on deployment and operational usage.
- Feedback Loop: Capture customer needs and translate them into actionable input for product and engineering teams.
- Customer Advocacy: Ensure customers achieve measurable outcomes that validate their investment, building strong relationships that lead to renewals and upsells.
- Experience: 3–6 years in a technical customer-facing role (Customer Success Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Security Consultant, or similar).
- Security Background: Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, SOAR, IAM, or equivalent. Familiarity with Microsoft security stack (Sentinel, Defender, Entra ID) is a plus.
- Project Skills: Proven ability to manage technical projects from start to finish — juggling multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and priorities.
- Technical Chops: Comfortable with APIs, log ingestion, webhook integrations, and basic scripting/debugging.
- Customer Mindset: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both SOC analysts and CISOs.
- Startup DNA: Thrives in fast-paced environments, willing to roll up sleeves, wear multiple hats, and help shape the future of the role.
