What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ranch Hand (Part time) / Barefoot Trimmer position at Congruence Tucson?
CONGRUENCE TUCSON is seeking a reliable and hardworking Ranch Hand who has a desire to become a barefoot trimmer.
As a Ranch Hand, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the ranch and ensuring the well-being of our animals. This position will require someone who is passionate about nature and can work outdoors in all types of weather. They will be organized and open to learning the process of the ranch chores as well as how to bring a calm and grounded energy to the animals.
Moreover, this role presents an opportunity for training in barefoot trimming to assist with the Congruence Herd. This journey begins with connection training and the establishment of trust-based relationships with the herd. Subsequently, you will progress to online training, followed by supervised application of knowledge by professional trimmers, culminating in in-person clinics.
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Feeding and caring for animals on a daily basis
- Daily manure pick up, clean and fill troughs, clean and refill hay troughs
- Overall cleaning corral areas, hay barn, feeding sheds
- Monitoring the health of livestock and reporting any issues
- Learn and deliver Congruence Tucson mindfulness practice with all animals
- Learn how to barefoot trim under David Landreville method of barefoot trimming
Qualifications:
- Direct experience with horses
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to operate and maintain ranch equipment and tools.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions

We are looking for one part time candidate to join our current team. Starting schedule 3 days a week. 3 hours per day. Morning hours only.
