The Congregational Church of the Chimes in Sherman Oaks, California, is seeking a part-time Director of Christian Education to coordinate educational programs for children, youth, and adults.
Responsibilities include: selecting/creating curriculum, organizing adult and youth study and fellowship programs, recruiting teachers and leaders, overseeing and managing the Sunday School weekly, directing, planning, and executing Vacation Bible School, working with the Preschool and church events, and providing administrative leadership for the department.
Those applying should have a degree in a related field, the ability to work with all age groups, and have leadership and organizational skills, and experience in a faith community.
The position will be a minimum of 20 hours per week. The salary is $26,000 a year.
