Duties
- Comprehensive bookkeeping and financial operations support. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, payroll preparation, transaction processing, budget tracking, and keep and maintain accurate financial records and reports
- Membership and CRM administration. Maintain accurate member and donor records, process new memberships and updates, manage event registrations and ticketing, and use the CRM to track related revenue and expenses
- Communications, office operations, and HR administrative support. Prepare, edit, and distribute newsletters and event communications, maintain calendars and track RSVPs, coordinate vendors and office needs, and support payroll documentation discretely and accurately. Answer phones and serve as first point of contact for visitors
Skills
- Proficiency in various accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace apps
- Proficency with CRM or membership databases
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, governmental accounting standards, and non-profit accounting practices
- Experience with GAAP compliance, general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, and double entry bookkeeping
- Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable workflows and bank reconciliation techniques
- Ability to perform account analysis, account reconciliation, and financial report writing accurately
- Familiarity with payroll processing, tax experience, and budgeting procedures
- Strong communication skills to clearly explain financial concepts and collaborate effectively within a team
