At Corvant, we provide specialty HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical services to mission-critical commercial and industrial environments. Our teams support essential facilities across data centers, healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, and education.

We deliver end-to-end solutions across the facility lifecycle, including design, prefabrication, installation, controls integration, and ongoing service. As one of the fastest-growing platforms in our space, we are focused on operational excellence, technical expertise, and building a high-performing team.

The Virtual Design Coordination (VDC) Supervisor is responsible for the hands-on, day-to-day leadership of the drafting and design team within the VDC department, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of design, coordination, and pre-construction deliverables for HVAC and plumbing systems on commercial construction projects. Reporting to the VDC Manager, the Supervisor serves as the working leader who translates department strategy into daily execution—overseeing drafting technicians, guiding technical quality, balancing workloads, and ensuring that models, submittals, and coordination drawings meet company standards and project requirements. This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to mentor and develop staff, and close collaboration with the VDC Manager, Department Coordinator, project managers, and field teams. The core areas of responsibility are listed below, however other duties and responsibilities may be required to meet business needs and objectives.

  • Assign and balance workloads across the team in coordination with the VDC Manager and Department Coordinator, adjusting priorities as project demands shift.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for technical and workflow questions, resolving day-to-day issues and elevating broader concerns to the VDC Manager.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative team environment that supports accountability, growth, and professional development.

Technical Oversight & Quality Control

  • Provide hands-on technical guidance in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam, modeling best practices and correcting errors before deliverables move forward.
  • Lead clash detection and model coordination efforts, ensuring that conflicts are identified and resolved prior to fabrication and installation.
  • Maintain and enforce drafting standards, templates, and quality control checkpoints across all active projects.

Workflow & Project Coordination

  • Monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure that drafting milestones are met and that the team’s output aligns with overall project schedules.
  • Coordinate closely with the Department Coordinator on scheduling, resource allocation, and documentation to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Ensure that submittals, RFIs, and coordination drawings are prepared, reviewed, and delivered within required timelines.
  • Track the status of assigned projects and provide regular progress updates to the VDC Manager.

Training & Development

  • Mentor and develop drafting technicians across all levels, helping them build proficiency in design software, company standards, and mechanical systems knowledge.
  • Support the onboarding of new drafting technicians, providing orientation, technical training, and ongoing coaching.
  • Identify individual skill gaps and development opportunities, and partner with the VDC Manager on training plans and advancement pathways.

Collaboration & Communication
