Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and attentive Server to join our vibrant hospitality team! As a Server, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional guest experiences through friendly service, expert beverage and food knowledge, and efficient order management. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation, sanitation, and food safety
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to maximize sales opportunities
- Manage cash handling efficiently, process payments accurately, and balance registers at shift end
- Assist with food preparation tasks when necessary and support kitchen staff with bussing or clearing tables to maintain a clean dining area
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or high-volume settings
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing sales totals
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Culinary experience or beverage knowledge including spirits, wine, cocktail preparation, and beverage service is highly desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
