OMP Techno-Functional Solution Architect

We are seeking an experienced OMP Techno-Functional Solution Architect to lead the technical architecture and strategic evolution of a global supply chain planning platform.

The ideal candidate will bridge supply chain business requirements, OMP Unison Planning, technical architecture, and advanced optimization. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end design, configuration, integration, and performance optimization of OMP solutions supporting global supply chain planning and decision-making.

• Design scalable OMP solutions that address complex supply chain requirements, including capacity constraints, multi-echelon inventory, demand variability, and production planning.
• Evaluate and select appropriate OMP solvers, heuristics, and custom optimization engines for production scheduling and S&OP requirements.
• Develop scalable platform architectures that support business growth, new manufacturing facilities, and evolving supply chain models.

• Develop, review, and optimize OPAL scripts, macros, and customized user actions.
• Manage and optimize the OMP data model, control tables, and workbook structures.
• Troubleshoot system performance issues, memory bottlenecks, and calculation/runtime challenges.
• Design and manage integrations between OMP and enterprise ERP platforms such as SAP S/4HANA and Oracle.
• Ensure data integrity across master and transactional data.

• Act as the primary technical bridge between supply chain business leaders, planning teams, and IT/development teams.
• Lead technical discussions and translate complex optimization and system concepts into practical business solutions.
• Establish and govern global OMP configuration standards, best practices, and technical documentation.

• 8 years of experience in supply chain technology implementation.
• 4 years of experience as a Lead/Senior Architect working with large-scale OMP environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with OMP Unison Planning.
• Advanced knowledge of OPAL, SQL, and database optimization.
• Experience with object-oriented programming such as Python or C is a plus.

• Proven experience integrating OMP with SAP PP/DS, MM, SD, or comparable enterprise ERP platforms.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data integration and supply chain data models.
• Experience designing and supporting end-to-end OMP integrations.

• Strong understanding of APICS/ASCM principles, S&OP, Demand Sensing, and finite scheduling.
• Ability to translate supply chain planning requirements into technical and functional OMP solutions.
• Experience with at least two full-lifecycle global OMP implementations, from blueprint/design through deployment and hyper-care.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following or a related quantitative discipline:

• Operations Research
• Industrial Engineering
• Computer Science
• Supply Chain Management

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to explain complex algorithms, optimization logic, and technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders.
• Experience working with global, cross-functional teams.
