Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Golang Software Engineer to join a Platform Engineering team responsible for building highly scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs supporting enterprise applications.

Important Notes:

• Hybrid role with onsite work in Phoenix, AZ (typically 3 days per week).
• Candidates must be available for an in-person interview in Phoenix, AZ.
• Local candidates or those who can reliably commute to Phoenix are strongly preferred.

Required Skills:

• 4–8 years of hands-on experience with Golang (Go)
• Strong experience developing REST APIs and Microservices
• Experience with gRPC and Event-Driven Architecture
• Hands-on experience with Kafka
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge of Relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or a related field

Preferred Skills:

• Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Jaeger
• Financial Services or Loyalty/Rewards domain experience
• Jira and Confluence
• Open-source development experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Go-based REST APIs and microservices.
• Build highly available and high-performance backend services.
• Develop event-driven applications using Kafka.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the Agile development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
