Congaree is an 18-hole private golf club located in Ridgeland, South Carolina. Designed by world famous golf course architect, Tom Fazio, Congaree opened in 2017 and quickly garnered the reputation of being one of the Southeast’s best golf clubs. The property is situated on an 18th century estate and surrounded by more than 2,000 acres of fishing lakes and longleaf pine forests. Ambassadors and Guests enjoy more than just world class golf conditions during their visits. The club boasts Five-star accommodations and dining. These respective facilities are accented by tasteful landscape beds and stately live oaks.
Congaree Golf Maintenance Department is currently seeking a full-time Landscape Manager. He or she will report directly to the Golf Course Superintendent and will work in a team atmosphere with assistant superintendents and the departments crew.
Responsibilities:
- Upholding the aesthetic standards of all landscape areas located around the lodging and ambassador service facilities.
- Scheduling tasks and supervising their completion for Two employees daily.
- Coordinating with the Superintendent, large-scale projects, installation, and applications that will involve additional labor.
- Proper observation and reaction to plant health deficiencies to ensure longevity.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of plant identification, selection, and installation.
- Experience with pesticide and fertilizer applications.
- Ability to organize, direct, and lead crew members.
- Understanding of soil-moisture levels to schedule and apply irrigation or hand watering.
Education:
- 2- year degree in related field or Certificate in Horticulture
