About us
Congamond Coffee & Cafe is a cafe in Southwick, housed in a 1920's general store, a few minutes walk to Congamond Lakes and right on the bike trail.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso, latte, cappuccino, coffee, tea, and smoothies
- Take customer orders and process payments using a cash register or POS system
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and brewing methods to provide accurate information to customers
Skills:
- Experience as a barista is required
- Experience in the food industry or customer service is preferred
- Knowledge of cash register operation and basic math skills for handling transactions
- Ability to handle food safely, including proper storage, handling, and preparation techniques
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
