You really get to know your patients and become an integral part of their care team. Your average visit is over 60 minutes giving you significant time to provide meaningful therapy. You are provided broad independence but are also part of a cohesive patient-care team. Occupational Therapists at VNH screen, evaluate, re-evaluate, and treat patients as well as coordinate and communicate treatment activities with our interdisciplinary team members and the patient. The Occupational Therapist will: Assess the patient's functional ability. Provide direct treatments. Select therapeutic modalities. Communicate with all members of the health care team. Document evaluations, treatment goals, and objectives. Teach patients and family members the rationale for treatments and procedures. Minimum Qualifications: Must be a licensed Occupational Therapist in Vermont and New Hampshire or hold an unencumbered compact license. BS in Occupational Therapy or postgraduate Occupational Therapy Certification program. Must have passed National Registration Exam. Experience in home health setting preferred.
