Unit Size/Beds: 42 beds - 21 medical & 21 Intermediate care Expected Ratios: Intermediate care - 1:3, Medical - 1:6 Cases seen: PNA, COPD exacerbation, DKA, HHS, ETOH withdrawal, GIB, Sepsis, PE, UTI, Respiratory failure Years of Exp preferred: 1-2 years Certifications required: ACLS, BLS : Floating to other units can happen at times, RN's work on both sides of the floor (med-tele & IMC), must have experience with trachs, vents, high-flow NC, Cardiac drips, BiPaP, & telemetry
