What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gantry Programmer position at CONFLUX SYSTEMS?
We are seeking an experienced Gantry Programmer with expertise in Siemens 840D sl CNC systems, PLC–CNC integration, and machine safety programming. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimizing gantry-based CNC machines, ensuring reliable machine performance, safety compliance, and efficient operation.
Responsibilities:
- Configure, commission, and troubleshoot Siemens 840D sl CNC systems.
- Develop and modify HMI Pro/HMI Advanced screens based on project requirements.
- Support and troubleshoot CNC part programs, including SPF/MPF structures, tool data, and offsets.
- Configure and maintain NC–PLC data exchange, interface signals, DBs, M-functions, status bits, and handshake logic.
- Set, validate, and optimize CNC machine parameters, including soft limits and referencing procedures.
- Configure and troubleshoot Soft CAM, Safe CAM, and Normal CAM functions.
- Modify and support Safety Integrated programs and safe operating functions.
- Configure and troubleshoot PROFINET networking and PN/PN Coupler communications.
- Support gantry kinematics, synchronization, dual-drive axis systems, and axis alignment during commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with machine safety standards and project specifications.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Siemens 840D sl architecture.
- Experience with HMI Advanced and HMI Pro.
- Proficiency in NC–PLC communication and data exchange.
- Experience integrating SINAMICS drives.
- Knowledge of Safety Integrated, Safe CAM, and Safe Position Monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with PROFINET, PN/PN Coupler setup, and industrial networking.
- Expertise in gantry synchronization, dual-drive axis systems, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving and technical diagnostic skills.
