Walton’s Distillery, Inc. d/b/a Copper and Stow are looking for an energetic, dependable and entrepreneurial General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and help grow two unique local businesses.
This is not simply a “keep things running” management position. We are looking for someone who can take ownership, identify opportunities, solve problems and help these businesses reach their full potential.
The General Manager will oversee both our craft distillery operation and our event/wedding venue, working directly with ownership while having substantial responsibility for daily operations.
Responsibilities will include:
· Managing employees, scheduling and day-to-day operations
· Coordinating weddings, private events, festivals and special events
· Responding to venue inquiries and helping convert inquiries into bookings
· Developing new business and increasing venue bookings
· Promoting the distillery and increasing customer traffic and sales
· Coordinating advertising, promotions and social media
· Managing inventory, purchasing and vendor relationships
· Maintaining high standards for customer service and facility appearance
· Identifying new revenue opportunities for both businesses
· Providing ownership with regular reports on sales, bookings, expenses and operations
The person we're looking for:
Someone organized, trustworthy, personable and comfortable making decisions.
Experience in hospitality, event management, restaurants, retail, sales, tourism, entertainment or small-business management would be particularly valuable.
Most importantly, we want someone with initiative—a person who sees something that needs to be done and gets it done without waiting to be told.

Full-time position. Compensation based upon experience and qualifications,
with the possibility of performance-based incentives.
