A growing, independent communications agency is looking for a senior PR leader to help steer its technology practice. Our clients range from high-growth startups to established platforms across advertising technology, marketing technology, enterprise software, and artificial intelligence. We're looking for someone who can counsel executives, sharpen stories, and help build the practice.
The Role
You'll oversee a portfolio of technology accounts and act as the senior voice on each. Day to day, that means:
- Acting as the go-to advisor for client leadership teams, helping them shape positioning, navigate market shifts, and tell a clear story about what they do and why it matters.
- Building communications programs tied to measurable business goals, from product launches and funding news to executive visibility and category leadership.
- Guiding earned media efforts across trade, business, and technology outlets, and helping executives land bylines, interviews, and speaking opportunities.
- Leading pitches and new business conversations, and helping grow the practice through smart prospecting and expanded work with current clients.
- Coaching and growing account teams, setting a high bar for quality while creating an environment where people want to do their best work.
- Spotting chances to bring additional services to clients, such as content, social, analyst relations, or crisis preparedness.
- Keeping a close watch on the adtech, martech, SaaS, and AI landscape so client strategies stay relevant.
What We're Looking For
- Roughly a decade (8 years) of communications experience, with meaningful time spent representing B2B technology companies.
- A background at a PR or communications agency, including ownership of client relationships and a hand in winning new business.
- Strong relationships with reporters and editors covering enterprise tech, marketing, and the business of AI, plus a record of landing coverage that moves the needle.
- Sharp writing skills across messaging frameworks, strategic plans, executive content, and pitches.
- Experience leading and developing teams, with a genuine interest in helping others grow.
- A results-oriented approach and comfort owning both client outcomes and revenue goals.
