About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Engineering to join its founding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the technical direction, leading the engineering strategy, and building a high-performing, distributed engineering team. This role requires a leader who can ensure the end-to-end development of blockchain solutions, with a focus on scalability, security, and efficiency. The VP of Engineering will also be expected to provide hands-on technical leadership in Rust programming and blockchain development, as well as to stay abreast of industry trends to drive innovation and the adoption of best practices. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years' experience in engineering, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership position, and a proven track record in leading and scaling technical teams. Expertise in blockchain, particularly with Layer 1 or Layer 2 protocols, is essential, as is a strong proficiency in Rust programming. The role demands a strategic vision, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to make data-driven decisions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are also a must, to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bonus skills include knowledge of other programming languages like Go or Solidity, familiarity with scaling solutions, and contributions to blockchain-related open-source projects.
