Position Overview
Our company is seeking a strategic, hands-on, and creative Vice President of Brand Marketing to lead the marketing vision and strategy for a luxury jewelry brand. This role will be responsible for building and driving all marketing for the brand. The VP of Brand Marketing will be directly responsible for both the tactical day-to-day and long-term strategy required to communicate in the voice of the brand. Working closely with the Creative Director and Director of eCommerce the VP of Brand Marketing will serve as a hands-on builder, working across the entire organization to help craft, hone and deliver our message across all platforms through thoughtful campaigns and event activations. The VP of Brand Marketing will own the full marketing calendar, working closely with many leaders of the brand to ensure thoughtful and strategic planning around timing of events, campaigns and promotions. This position is fully on-site at our Manhattan-based office to foster close collaboration with the creative, merchandising, and product development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the marketing functions across the business required to build an exceptional worldwide marketing strategy
- Manage the marketing calendar in full - overseeing timing for campaigns across channels, planned product launches, special events, promotions, and ongoing initiatives
- Maintain the storytelling for the brand through thoughtful content creation across all channels - partnering with Merchandising and Product Development teams to ensure relevant business objectives and product launches are communicated effectively
- Plan and execute brand activation events catering to VICs and brand enthusiasts
- Develop and implement the brand’s communications, public relations, celebrity/influencer, and other client-facing campaigns and activations
- Coordinate, nurture & sustain media interest in the brand, ensuring regular and consistent editorial content in the major outlets, managing media relations and maximizing media opportunities whenever possible
- Oversee the development and produce branded content creation, including overseeing brand photo shoots to create consistent digitally-based content feeds
- Collaborate with Sales leadership to identify key client demographics through market research, analysis of existing client data, and direct engagement with boutique team members. Advise all sales channels about relevant timing and strategy for client engagement and events to drive sales
- Work closely with retail partners and other brand partners to maintain brand integrity and market growth
- Support budget planning, forecasting, and ROI optimization across paid media, owned channels, partnerships, and experiential marketing
- Collaborate closely with Product Development, Supply Chain, Finance, and Executive Leadership to ensure marketing plans support broader business objectives
- Oversee the Marketing and Graphic Design team, guiding daily workflows and overseeing successful collaboration within the team to complete projects and campaigns efficiently
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in brand marketing, focused on luxury
- Direct experience within the fine jewelry industry strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of brand building, storytelling, and modern marketing ecosystems
- Direct experience creating, building, and personally executing effective, brand-consistent communications and events and elevating client experience and engagement in a luxury retail/brand environment
- Strong fluency in AI-enabled marketing platforms, data-driven workflows, and emerging technologies that improve speed, effectiveness, and scale
- Proven track record of driving significant, impactful editorial coverage across all platforms, building successful events, and driving relevant influencer programs
- Hands-on and detail-oriented; have been an integral member of a small marketing function with in-house control of all aspects of the program. Must be able to execute tasks and own processes directly while also effectively delegating and overseeing the workflow of the entire Marketing team
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally throughout the division, including Merchandising, Sales, and eComm, to bring market-driven insights to communications and activation planning
- A passion for fine jewelry and ability to relate to the emotional connection clients have with such pieces is strongly preferred
Salary : $150,000 - $190,000
