Assignment Details
- Location: Auburn, New York
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Shift: Days
- Schedule: 5x8-Hour Shifts
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Per Week
- Optional Schedule: Up to 48 Hours
- Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
- Holiday Requirement: As Needed
- Floating: May float within scope of practice as needed
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to Medical/Surgical Telemetry patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms
- Perform patient assessments and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Participate in rapid response situations when required
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation
- Follow evidence-based nursing practices and facility policies
QualificationsRequired
- Active New York RN License or proof of application submitted
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Strong IV therapy and patient assessment skills
Preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Experience working in a team nursing model
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
