Brief description
The position of Security Division Manager consists of planning, direction and management of all security operations for all job sites. The incumbent manages the operations of all locations and work is accomplished through a large staff of officers, shift leads and support staff. Work is performed under the general direction of the Operations Manager.
Tasks
- Plan, organize and coordinate the security officer & shift lead activities.
- Ensure the compliance of operations and services with the policies established by client for each site.
- Communicate daily with employee needs and schedules. Communicate with schedulers and Operations Manager on schedule changes.
- Ensure communication between the officers and department supervisors.
- Conduct regular inspections of each job site to ensure sites are running according to company policies and procedures.
- Make sure all incident reports are being sent to Clients daily.
- Create and update Post Orders as needed or make sure this is being done by your staff.
- Direct and implement any disciplinary action as needed, with required documentation and follow up of alternative solutions.
- Scheduling, modifying, & monitoring daily through Belfry for accuracy.
- Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses.
- Ensure that inventory is kept up to date alongside the Operations Manager.
- Communicate with upper management immediately when scheduling & job posts need to be posted or revised.
- Support and coach Quality Control Supervisors and employees with any solutions & corrective measures they may need.
- Work alongside QC Supervisors to ensure all needs are met and that QC Guard role is being fulfilled according to company standards.
- Work alongside Training Manager to ensure guards are all trained to company standards as well as making sure everyone completes their 24 Hour Security Guard Training Course.
- Conduct annual performance reviews alongside Operations Manager.
- Communicate with Operations Manager weekly on site visits, site needs and employee needs.
- Order, Inventory, & hand out uniforms to guards.
- Fill in for last minute call out shifts as a last resort when no one else is available.
- Create, update & implement division specific documents, such as, SOPs, Policies & Procedures.
Qualifications and requirements
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Security Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of security industry experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience required.
- Experience managing multiple client sites and security personnel preferred.
- Experience with scheduling, workforce management, and employee relations preferred.

- Ability to analyze operational reports, staffing metrics, and performance indicators.
- Experience maintaining inventory records and operational documentation.
Operational Requirements
- Ability to manage a 24/7 operation and respond to after-hours emergencies when necessary.
- Ability to travel between client sites throughout the Atlanta Metro area.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Ability to pass background screening and drug screening requirements.
- Ability to occasionally work nights, weekends, holidays, and fill shifts during emergencies or staffing shortages.

- Experience creating SOPs, policies, procedures, and training programs.

Working conditions
- Employee shall be a full-time employee which includes but is not limited to, visiting job sites during each shift. Shifts visited are at the discretion of the employee as long as all shifts are touched each week.
