SAP Functional Consultant - EWM

Job Summary:

We are seeking an SAP S/4HANA EWM Functional Consultant to support warehouse and extended warehouse management processes within a regional organization. This role is responsible for end-to-end functional design, configuration, and support of SAP EWM solutions aligned to business requirements. The consultant leverages SAP Activate methodology to drive fit-gap analysis, functional specifications, and testing cycles across implementation and enhancement projects. The position requires strong understanding of warehouse operations, system integration, and hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori applications. Responsibilities include incident resolution, change management, and continuous improvement aligned with ITIL service delivery standards. The role also supports project planning, user training, and documentation to ensure scalable and compliant SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and document warehouse and logistics business processes and identify optimization opportunities using SAP best practices

• Gather, validate, and prioritize EWM functional requirements with business stakeholders and COE teams

• Configure SAP S/4HANA EWM and related Fiori applications based on functional specifications and SAP Activate methodology

• Perform fit-gap analysis, develop functional designs, and support end-to-end integration testing

• Develop functional specifications for RICEFW objects and collaborate with ABAP and integration teams

• Execute unit testing, coordinate UAT, and manage defect resolution through structured test cycles

• Provide post-go-live support including incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement

• Maintain documentation for configurations, functional designs, and process flows in compliance with ITIL standards

• Deliver end-user training and develop training materials for supported EWM processes

• Participate in release management, transport coordination, and change control processes

• Collaborate with COE, PMO, and technical teams on project planning, execution, and governance activities

• Monitor SAP roadmap, release updates, and industry trends to recommend enhancements and innovations

• Ensure compliance with security, data integrity, and audit requirements within SAP environments

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on SAP functional experience in configuration and support

• Strong understanding of warehouse management and logistics execution processes

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA EWM and familiarity with SAP Fiori applications

• Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications

• Proficiency in documenting functional designs and test scripts

Special Requirements:

• SAP Activate methodology experience required

• ITIL service management practices preferred

• SAP EWM certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong SAP EWM configuration skills including inbound/outbound processing, warehouse structure, and inventory management

• Understanding of supply chain and logistics execution processes

• Knowledge of integration points with MM, SD, and TM modules

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Experience with SAP Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM is a plus

Additional Desired Characteristics:

• Experience supporting SAP implementations or warehouse transformation projects

• Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies

• Industry experience in manufacturing, distribution, or 3PL environments preferred

• Strong attention to detail and continuous improvement mindset
