What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Operations Manager position at Confidential?
Regional Operations Manager
Location: Watertown, New York
Compensation: $150,000 Base Salary Performance Bonus
Industry: Equipment Services
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Regional Operations Manager to take ownership of multiple locations for a growing equipment services company in the Watertown, New York area.
You do not need industry experience.
We are looking for a proven military leader who knows how to lead teams, establish clear expectations, hold people accountable, and drive execution across multiple locations. This is an opportunity for someone who has led in demanding environments and wants to bring that leadership experience into the private sector.
The right person will be comfortable moving between the strategic and tactical—understanding how each location is performing while staying close enough to the operation to identify problems, develop leaders, and make sure things get done.
What You’ll Own
- Multi-Site Operations: Oversee performance and execution across multiple locations.
- Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop location-level managers and their teams.
- Accountability: Establish clear expectations, measure performance, and hold leaders accountable for results.
- Operational Performance: Identify gaps, solve problems, and continuously improve how each location operates.
- Consistency: Create common standards and operating rhythms across the region.
- People Development: Identify high performers, develop future leaders, and address performance issues quickly.
- Execution: Turn company priorities into action at the local level and ensure commitments are followed through.
- Business Performance: Understand the key drivers of each location and take ownership of overall regional results.
Who We’re Looking For
We are specifically interested in military veterans with significant leadership experience.
You may be a transitioning officer, senior NCO, warrant officer, or veteran who has already begun a civilian career. Your military specialty matters less than your ability to lead people and execute.
The ideal candidate has:
- A strong track record of military leadership.
- Experience leading multiple teams, units, functions, or geographically dispersed operations.
- The ability to establish standards and hold people accountable.
- Strong judgment and decision-making in fast-moving environments.
- The ability to develop subordinate leaders rather than trying to do everything personally.
- A bias toward action and problem-solving.
- Comfort operating with autonomy and taking ownership of results.
Prior equipment, dealership, or industry experience is not required.
Why This Role
This is a strong opportunity for a military leader who wants meaningful operational responsibility without needing years of industry-specific experience.
You’ll have ownership across multiple locations, the opportunity to build and develop teams, and the ability to directly influence the performance of a growing business.
