Job Summary:
Optim LLC is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented and experienced Quality Specialist to help maintain and ensure high-quality products and an effective Quality Management System in working with our endoscope products.
Core Responsibilities:
- Help to maintain an effective Quality Management System. The QA Specialist is responsible for performing final inspection and evaluations of returned product. The QA Specialist is also responsible for control of calibration and preventive maintenance system. The QA Specialist will also assist in quality related initiatives in production.
Primary Duties:
Quality Control
- Perform final inspection (visual and functional testing) of various devices.
- Assist in the investigation and verification of corrective/preventive action activities.
- Coordinate all aspects relating to non-conforming material.
- Evaluate and document findings on returned devices.
- Maintain accurate Quality Records.
- Review and approve Device History Records.
Calibration
- Maintain a calibration/preventive maintenance schedule
- Manage external vendors for calibration of equipment
- Perform calibration on tooling/equipment in house.
Audits
- Conduct internal audits
- Conduct On-site vendor audits.
- Support external audits as needed
Other Responsibilities
- Work with Production on process and inspection related issues.
- Work with Materials to perform vendor audits of critical vendors.
- Work with Engineering regarding new product design and testing criteria.

Education and Experience:
- Associates degree preferred.
- Experience with monitoring and measuring equipment.
- Experience working with FDA / ISO regulations.
- Computer Skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings (dimensioning and tolerancing).
Physical Environment:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Travel:
- Some local travel may be required infrequently.
