We are actively seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Primary Math Teacher to join our caring and collaborative learning community. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE TEACHING ELEMENTARY MATHEMATICS.
Duties
- Prepare and deliver engaging math lessons for students in Grades 2–4
- Develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans aligned with learning goals and student needs
- Create hands-on, interactive learning experiences that encourage mathematical reasoning and problem-solving
- Teach foundational math concepts including number sense, operations, fractions, measurement, geometry, and mathematical communication
- Differentiate instruction to support a range of learning styles, abilities, and academic needs
- Provide meaningful feedback that encourages student confidence and continued growth
- Foster a positive classroom environment built on respect, curiosity, perseverance, and a love of learning
- Incorporate manipulatives, and engaging resources to enhance math instruction
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with families
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of students
- Participate as a positive member of the Savannah River Academy community
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Elementary Education, Mathematics Education, or a related field
- Elementary teaching experience required
- Experience teaching mathematics to primary-age students preferred
- Strong understanding of elementary math concepts and effective instructional practices
- Ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and families
- Passion for nurturing student confidence, curiosity, and academic success
