Growing Manufacturing company in Reading seeking a dependable and safety-focused 1st Shift Material Handler to support production and warehouse operations. This position operates a forklift to move finished products, molds, parts, and other materials throughout the facility while maintaining accurate inventory locations and a clean, organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment
- Move finished products from production areas to the warehouse or outdoor storage areas
- Verify the quantity and condition of finished goods before transferring them
- Wrap and prepare finished products for storage or transportation
- Retrieve, transport, stage, and properly store production molds
- Stage molds needed for upcoming production requirements
- Accurately track mold and material locations in the company’s system
- Transfer products and materials between departments as directed
- Move, stack, and organize barriers in designated outdoor storage areas
- Prepare and stage shipments for the following day’s delivery schedule
- Complete required finished-goods and material-handling documentation
- Perform and document required pre-use equipment inspections
- Stock warehouse parts shelves and help maintain adequate parts inventory
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse and work area
- Keep materials moving throughout the facility to minimize production downtime
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment
Salary is $20.00 to $23.00 hour.
Shift: Monday through Thursday : 6:30am to 4:30pm
