Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Lead Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of an assisted living community. This role is responsible for ensuring the building, grounds, and all systems are well-maintained, safe, and fully operational to support a comfortable environment for residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all general maintenance operations for the community
- Perform routine inspections of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
- Ensure the facility remains safe, clean, and in compliance with all applicable regulations
- Conduct and schedule preventative maintenance on equipment and systems
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents
- Diagnose and repair issues related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and general building systems
- Maintain and test life safety systems (fire alarms, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting, etc.)
- Coordinate and supervise outside vendors and contractors when needed
- Oversee groundskeeping, including landscaping and seasonal maintenance (e.g., leaf removal, snow/ice as applicable)
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and compliance documentation
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards
- Assist with unit turnovers, minor renovations, and facility improvements
- Support emergency preparedness and respond to urgent maintenance issues
- Monitor inventory of supplies and order materials as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in building maintenance (assisted living, healthcare, or residential setting preferred)
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance systems
- Ability to perform hands-on repairs and troubleshoot issues independently
- Familiarity with life safety systems and regulatory compliance preferred
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Good communication skills and a service-oriented approach
- Basic computer skills for tracking work orders and documentation
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications are a plus)
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
