What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Supervisor/Generalist position at Confidential?
HR Supervisor/ Generalist: Meredith-Springfield- company located in Ludlow, is seeking a full-time HR professional who can provide administrative support in payroll processing, paid leave, Benefit enrollment as well as seeking out new talent and hire for entry level positions. You will be responsible for interviewing and on-boarding for our entry level positions as well as posting Ads and maintaining the integrity of our training and confidential HR files.
Principal Duties:
Manage Risk
- Executive Representative to the Safety Committee and safety program oversight including working with the VP and General Manager to assure all requirements for OSHA recordkeeping is current and accurate and that the facility has no known OSHA violations. Annual facilitation of the hearing testing requirements and reporting.
- Assure that the Company is acting in accordance with State and Federal Labor laws.
- Manage any situations forthcoming with MCAD, EEOC, PFMLA, COBRA
- Owns the mandated personal information security practices.
Human Resources - Sole lead roll for all HR functions including but not limited to:
- Time and attendance and payroll preparation and all aspects of compensating employees in a timely and accurate manner
- Manage outsourced payroll service (ADP)
- Recruit, interview and recommend (if applicable) candidates to Supervisors and hire as needed to maintain designated crewing levels.
- Facilitate all entry paperwork and orientation training for new hires
- Facilitate timely employee reviews, disciplinary situations and terminations with the Supervisors.
- Create and update all employee recordkeeping including personal information, training records, medical records, and private information in conformance with mandated privacy and security policies.
- Employee benefits and insurances administration and management.
- Lead roll with DUI and DIA for responses and hearings and testimony at proceeding
- Wage verifications, garnishment conformance, state and federal payroll filings, insurance mandate reporting and all such reporting as required to be in conformance with state and federal requirements.
- Maintain and administrate the ET (Earned Time is Paid Time Off) Program. Facilitate scheduling of senior employees vacations on a seniority basis
- Become the central authority for the Corporate Policy Manual and update or modify policies as is required or prudent to have policies relevant to company operations standards and legal requirements.
- Annual distribution of Sexual Harassment Policy
- Crafts or edits and publishes notices to Employees relative to benefits, policies, meetings, programs, safety etc.
- Coordinate with VP and General Manager in the planning and preparation for Company-wide meetings and events.
Records Management:
In addition to HR records, this individual is responsible for records retention for the following:
- Training Records: CBA,SQF,SOP and others
It should be understood that this position is also responsible for timely removal and destruction of terminated employee files.
Education and Experience:
A Bachelors degree followed by a minimum 3 years of professional level personnel experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, email.
Other Requirements:
Can project a professional, quality image through clothing and appearance, which is appropriate to a progressive, professional business setting.
Has the ability to travel occasionally for the purposes of training, attendance at or participation in Company related business or functions.
The knowledge and skills required to effectively perform the responsibilities and duties outlined above.
No physical, health or mental restrictions known that will preclude functioning effectively in an intense, multi tasking roll in a fast moving, growing organization which often faces rapidly changing priorities.
Must execute a (2) year general confidentiality agreement with the Company and agree to be bound by confidentiality agreements executed by the Company with its Clients.
Must be a self-starting, self-supervising and be able to create solutions to problems.
Must be free of a criminal background.
Complexity:
Requires knowledge of human resources, and standard administrative office operating procedure human resources and general office administration.
Requires an excellent working knowledge of word processing, email, databases and spreadsheets.
Confidentiality:
Has access to confidential data such as employee salaries, personal data, customer information and Company Trade Secrets.
A Confidentiality Non-Disclosure Agreement is to be executed.
