Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team in. Responsibilities
- Prepare and process tissue samples for histological analysis, ensuring adherence to laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs) and CLIA regulations.
- Perform laboratory tissue sectioning, embedding, staining, and immunohistochemistry techniques with precision and consistency.
- Conduct pathology testing, including specimen collection, processing, and analysis to support diagnostic workflows.
- Operate and maintain medical laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration, quality control, and proper functioning at all times.
- Utilize laboratory information systems (LIS) to record data accurately, track specimens, and generate reports for clinical or research purposes.
- Follow aseptic techniques during specimen handling to prevent contamination and ensure sample integrity.
- Assist with laboratory inventory management and ensure compliance with safety protocols related to laboratory procedures and hazardous materials.
Requirements
- Proven clinical laboratory experience with a strong understanding of laboratory techniques such as histotechnology and immunohistochemistry.
- Hands-on research laboratory experience involving tissue sample preparation and pathology testing.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathology principles relevant to laboratory work.
- Familiarity with laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs), CLIA regulations, and hospital or clinical environment standards.
- Experience with laboratory tissue sectioning, immunological techniques, specimen collection/processing, and vital signs measurement.
- Ability to operate medical laboratory equipment accurately while maintaining aseptic techniques.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow detailed protocols consistently in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with healthcare professionals and researchers alike.
