We are seeking a full-time Grounds Maintenance Supervisor for Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, located in West Lafayette, Indiana. You will be responsible for the care, maintenance, safety, and security of employees and visitors while maintaining the property's overall upkeep and appearance.
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintenance of the property and improvements, including buildings and fixtures, equipment, and all operations
- Maintaining and operating maintenance equipment and machinery, including backhoe and mowing/trimming equipment, as well as handling the operation of tools
- Hiring, supervising, and training of regular and seasonal grounds crew to carry out maintenance on all properties, buildings, and fixtures
- Installing or assisting in installing cemetery vaults, headstones, and memorials as needed
- Meeting and working with the location Sales Manager to discuss current and future needs of the location
Job Requirements:
- Three years’ grounds maintenance or landscaping experience
- Management experience
- Knowledge and experience working with survey maps, including the layout and identification of cemetery sections, lots and graves, or equivalent experience
- Ability to perform heavy work and lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying
- Ability to walk over uneven ground; climbing, kneeling, stooping; bending; squatting; upper and lower body flexibility
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s license
