We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Pre-K Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and stimulating learning environment for young children, developing lesson plans and activities that encourage learning, and providing feedback to parents on their child's progress. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or higher, passion for teaching, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a classroom of energetic children.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement daily lesson plans aligned with Georgia's Pre-K Content Standards.
- Foster children's cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development.
- Maintain a positive, organized, and engaging classroom.
- Conduct ongoing child assessments and maintain required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress.
- Supervise and collaborate with the Assistant Teacher.
- Ensure compliance with Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) regulations and Quality Rated standards.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required trainings.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment.
Applicants must meet Georgia's Pre-K Lead Teacher qualifications, including:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field that meets Georgia Pre-K requirements.
- Georgia Pre-K teaching certification or eligibility preferred.
- Experience teaching preschool or Pre-K children.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for early childhood education and kindergarten readiness.
- Ability to pass all required background checks and obtain required clearances.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Georgia's Pre-K Program.
- Knowledge of DECAL regulations and Bright from the Start licensing requirements.
- Experience with or knowledge of Work Sampling Online (WSO).
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Salary: starts at $42,000 per year; Higher based on education and years of experience.
