What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Liability Claims Specialist position at Confidential?
What we are looking for:
- Direct responsibility; day to day, oversight and management of multi state, self insured, GL program.
- Day to day management of General Liability insurance claims; oversight and management of Third Party Administrator and Legal Counsel.
- Conduct in house claim investigations.
- Review contacts to determine if tender acceptances are warranted.
- Participate in GL mediations; actively negotiate claim resolution.
- Schedule and lead GL claims reviews with TPA and attorneys.
- Conduct monthly meetings with Operations team to discuss open claims and financial implications to company.
- Review loss runs for trends; analyze risk data, prepare monthly report for Executive Team.
- Partner with Safety Director and Operations Team to create site specific Risk Management plans.
- Request Certificate of Insurance from Broker and distribute.
Qualifications/Required Experience
- 5 years experience in liability claims handling and claim resolution.
- 5 years experience in claims negotiation strategy.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of contractual indemnification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail Oriented; self confident; self starter.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word.
- Claims designation a plus.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
