Job Summary
We are seeking a Direct Care PRP Counselor to join our team. In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of youth and adults with mental illness by enhancing their quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene needs, light housekeeping and errands, dispensing medication, and other tasks that improve the client’s living environment and standards. The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients for individual and group sessions;
- Participate in all treatment planning, communicate consistently with clinical staff, Program Director, and clients' families;
- Attend and complete Ascend's required training;
- Maintain contact with the client’s family and treatment team;
- Implementation of rehabilitation activities;
- Assist clients in achieving their individual goals by teaching and supporting them while linking them to various community resources.
- Maintain quality records and timely documentation.
Qualifications
- 2 years experience working with mentally ill children or adults
- Complete & pass a federal CJIS background check
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal spills
- Ability to maintain quality records and timely documentation
- Compassionate, respectful, ethical
Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
