Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential homes, commercial buildings, and new construction sites using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment.
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation of plumbing systems.
- Comply with local building codes, plumbing building codes, and safety regulations during all phases of work.
- Work with gas piping systems, HVAC components, and mechanical systems to ensure proper operation and safety standards are met.
- Perform pipe installation, pipe threading, welding, and assembly tasks while managing heavy lifting requirements safely.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on existing plumbing systems to prevent issues and ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with construction teams, project managers, and clients to deliver projects on time while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Skills
- Extensive construction site experience with residential plumbing, commercial plumbing, and new construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing system maintenance and repair techniques along with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and schematics related to plumbing systems.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding tools, and carpentry basics for installation tasks.
- Familiarity with local building codes, plumbing codes, gas piping regulations, and safety regulations governing construction sites.
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems and experience working with MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members alike.
- Valid commercial driving license preferred for site travel; experience with heavy lifting and field service operations is a plus.
