Summary:
We have an immediate need for an EDI/Support Specialist who will work with our I.T., Accounting and Customer Service teams on various EDI tasks and other projects, depending on your background and skillset. The candidate will provide EDI support relating to our ERP system and EDI applications, analyzing company and user needs, troubleshooting, recommending solutions, providing training and support as required. Up to 50% of the position may involve EDI work (this may increase over time as trading partners are added). Your other time will involve helping with other projects in I.T., depending on your skillset.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Improve the quality of all EDI transactions, in addition to Emailed Invoice Delivery and related services delivered by IT.
2. Provide daily EDI and Email operational support, transaction monitoring and exception management. Perform troubleshooting and resolution of issues, working with our Customer Service and Accounting Teams.
3. Utilize INOVIS (TDX) VAN, our internal EDI mapper tool Altova MapForce and other web interfaces/applications for setup and troubleshooting.
4. Convert existing mapping using non-EDI fields meant for other ERP functions, to dedicated EDI fields.
5. Lead efforts to develop new EDI partnerships with customers and suppliers from initial requirements evaluation through execution, testing and production deployment, working on multiple concurrent partner implementations at one time.
6. Perform EDI analysis, research, and documentation of transactional data set requests, EDI specifications and issues from internal and external customers.
7. Function as technical liaison with technical contacts of EDI trading partners and other organizations.
8. Document and manage help desk tickets associated with EDI, Email Delivery or other I.T. or ERP problems etc.
9. Develop EDI training and implementation material as required.
10. Review daily Emailed Invoice reports and research any Email Delivery problems (incorrect emails, incorrect billing processes, etc), report to team and resolve.
11. Perform other I.T. tasks depending on your skillset and background, as required.
12. Report back status to the I.T. team on a daily basis.
13. Perform other computer tasks and desktop support, assigned by I.T. Director, as your skills allow.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline.
2. A minimum of four years of relevant EDI experience.
3. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office and EDI Mapping Tools.
4. Knowledge of Epicor Prophet 21 or other ERP systems.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills written and verbal. Good listener.
6. Be proactive, willing to go the extra mile and have flexibility to change.
7. Organized, detailed-oriented, team player, self-starter and eagerness to learn.
Plusses:
1. Ability to read existing SQL and edit, also creating new SQL from scratch, to create custom reports from ERP database.
2. Understand how to setup, configure and administer Windows 10 computers and Windows Server 2016.
3. Experience with Microsoft SSRS and how to setup/configure reports.
4. Understanding of SharePoint Administration/Management.
5. Knowledge of Logistics and Purchasing processes.
