Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our private dental practice in Laconia, NH. Responsibilities

• Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, scaling, and polishing to promote optimal oral health.
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies tailored to individual needs.
• Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and patient comfort.
• Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories in EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Follow strict HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times.
• Support infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of instruments.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless workflow during general dentistry procedures, including pediatric dentistry when applicable.
• Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Experience

• Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a private dental practice or clinical setting.
• Familiarity with dental office management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is advantageous for working with young patients.
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding related to dental procedures.
• Experience in chairside assisting, including handling dental instruments and supporting various treatments.
• Demonstrated ability to perform vital signs assessment and medical imaging accurately.

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
