Position Overview
We are seeking a warm, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Coordinator to be the welcoming face of our practice. You'll manage the day-to-day flow of the front office — scheduling, insurance, patient records — while helping create a smooth, positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, setting the tone for a friendly, efficient front desk experience
- Manage appointment scheduling using Dentrix, coordinating across general dentistry and specialty providers to keep patient flow smooth
- Verify insurance coverage, perform eligibility checks, and assist with insurance claims processing
- Collect payments and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Review and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Answer multi-line phones with excellent phone etiquette; handle patient inquiries and direct calls appropriately
- Assist with patient intake, documentation review, and organized filing of records and billing documents
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a dental or medical front desk role preferred — we are willing to train the right candidate on the job
- Experience with Dentrix a plus, or willingness to learn
- Familiarity with dental insurance verification and billing practices a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate warmly and clearly, in person and by phone; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion, in line with HIPAA regulations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and genuine interest in supporting patients
