The Retail Store Sales representative serves as the first point of contact for customers visiting or contacting a Medicare Center. This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience, coordinating sales consultation appointments, maintaining accurate customer records, and supporting the daily operations of the center. The position plays a key role in ensuring customers are connected with the appropriate resources while supporting the organization's Medicare sales and service initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers to the Medicare Center and provide a professional, friendly first impression.
- Assist customers by identifying their needs and directing them to the appropriate sales or support representative.
- Schedule and coordinate Medicare sales consultation appointments.
- Create and maintain accurate customer profiles within the CRM system.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to customer inquiries professionally.
- Communicate expected wait times and alternative service options when necessary.
- Support daily Medicare Center operations and provide operational updates to management.
- Maintain inventory of sales materials, office supplies, refreshments, and customer resources.
- Ensure the reception and customer waiting areas remain organized, clean, and welcoming.
- Assist with coordinating sales meetings, events, and administrative activities.
- Generate daily activity reports and maintain operational documentation.
- Collaborate with center leadership and corporate teams to ensure efficient workflow and outstanding customer service.
- Participate in required onboarding, compliance, and industry-specific training programs.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information and comply with all applicable privacy regulations.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of experience in customer service, administrative support, front desk, retail, hospitality, healthcare, or sales support.
- Experience scheduling appointments and managing customer interactions.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Basic computer proficiency with CRM or customer management systems.
Preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Previous experience in insurance, healthcare, Medicare, retail sales, or financial services.
- Experience supporting a customer-facing sales organization.
