Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC/Manual Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and program CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines, as well as perform manual machining tasks to produce precision components. Your expertise in blueprint reading and mechanical knowledge will be essential to ensure the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, ensuring accurate production according to specifications.
- Program CNC machines using CAM programming software and edit existing programs for efficiency and quality improvements.
- Perform manual machining operations utilizing hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols; operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Inspect finished parts using coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and other precision measurement tools; document inspection results accurately.
- Collaborate with team members on tooling selection, setup adjustments, and process improvements following lean manufacturing principles.
- Assist in assembly processes when required, ensuring parts fit correctly and meet quality standards.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC mills and CNC lathes with Fanuc controls or equivalent systems.
- Strong background in manual machining techniques with proficiency in hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision instruments.
- Familiarity with CNC programming using CAM software.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations.
