Branch Manager

A well-established distribution organization is conducting a confidential search for a driven, entrepreneurial leader to oversee a branch in the Roanoke, Virginia area. The Branch Manager will be accountable for the branch’s overall performance, including profitable sales growth, operations, customer satisfaction, employee development, safety, and financial results. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Drive profitable sales growth through new business development and expanded market share.
• Maintain full responsibility for the branch's financial performance, including understanding and managing the profit and loss (P&L) statement.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Lead, coach, and develop Inside and Outside Sales teams to maximize sales performance and gross margin.
• Manage branch operations to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
• Monitor and control operating expenses while achieving established performance goals.
• Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop employees to maximize individual and team performance.
• Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
• Manage inventory, accounts receivable, and other branch assets to achieve established goals for inventory turns, dead stock, shrinkage, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and bad debt.
• Ensure shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory functions consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Represent the company with professionalism and integrity when interacting with customers, vendors, and business partners.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Required Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in distribution, manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Demonstrated success in sales leadership and business development.
• Proven experience managing branch or operational financial performance.
• Experience leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
• Experience with inventory management, physical inventories, and cycle counting.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with Agility software is preferred but not required.

Compensation

• Competitive salary: $75,000 – $100,000
