What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Director - Clio Billing position at Confidential?
Position Summary:
The Billing Director will support the Billing Department by reviewing, editing, and generating client invoices for our legal services. This role requires a strong understanding of Clio Billing.
The Billing Director must understand how to navigate client matters in both Clio Manage and Clio Grow. Clio Billing is an extension of Clio Manage, and prior experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review billable entries for accuracy across all departments and all staff.
- Review and edit time entry memos/descriptions and the billable hours entered.
- Adjust the descriptions or billable hours where appropriate before the final invoice is generated.
- Determine Clio efficiencies and program short-cuts to implement firm wide.
- Work closely with the Billing Department staff to provide additional support as needed.
- Review weekly billable hours with staff to ensure staff are meeting expectations and goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of finance or accounting experience, ideally in a law firm or professional services setting.
- Strong proficiency in Clio Billing and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with elder care or trust & estates law firms a plus.
