Our client is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to provide technical leadership and oversee enterprise IT infrastructure across multiple Massachusetts locations. This full‑time, onsite role supports mission‑critical systems, compliance activities, and multi‑site operations in a highly regulated environment.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (Occasional planned after‑hours work for maintenance, outages, and project cutovers)
Please Note: Travel is required between Ayer, Devens, Brockton, and other Massachusetts sites; so local candidates are strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Mentor Systems Administrators and provide technical guidance to IT staff.
- End‑User Support: Train employees on IT systems and support user adoption of enterprise technologies.
- Documentation & Audit Readiness: Maintain technical documentation and support audit‑readiness activities.
- Tier 3 Escalation: Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex infrastructure, networking, and application issues.
- Physical Security Systems: Administer camera systems, access control, and related physical security technologies.
- Patching & Compliance: Maintain patching, firmware updates, and endpoint compliance across servers and devices.
- Infrastructure Modernization: Support upgrades, migrations, cybersecurity initiatives, and modernization of IT systems.
- Security & Access Control: Manage privileged access, security policies, audit documentation, and compliance controls.
- Application Support: Support business applications and coordinate escalations with vendors and managed‑service providers.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Operate enterprise backup systems, disaster‑recovery plans, and data‑protection technologies.
- Identity & Collaboration Systems: Manage Active Directory/Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint across the enterprise.
- Windows Server & Virtualization: Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, virtualization platforms, and core infrastructure services.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Hands‑on experience with enterprise backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
- Strong experience with Active Directory/Entra ID, Intune, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- 8–10 years of senior‑level systems administration experience in enterprise environments.
- Advanced experience with Windows Server, virtualization, and networking infrastructure.
- Experience supporting regulated environments (life sciences, biotech, medical device, or similar) preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in multi‑site enterprise environments or MSPs supporting multiple locations.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate vendors, managed‑service providers, and cross‑functional teams.
- Familiarity with compliance‑driven IT operations, audit documentation, and change‑management processes.
