Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our affordable housing services team in Ayer, MA. In this role, you'll oversee daily operations, lead a small team, and ensure housing programs run smoothly from project setup through applicant qualification and compliance. Your work will directly support families in accessing safe, affordable homes.Visa Sponsorship: Not eligibleRelocation Assistance: NoResponsibilities:Improve internal systems, processes, and operational efficiency.Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping.Communicate professionally with applicants, clients, and town officials.Lead day-to-day office operations and supervise two staff members.Ensure compliance with state and municipal affordable housing regulations.Collaborate with developers, municipal agencies, and state housing programs.Manage affordable housing project workflows including permitting, application setup, lottery management, and applicant qualification.Oversee monitoring of affordable rental units and support housing lottery marketing efforts.Qualifications:Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Supervisory or team leadership experience (managing 2 direct reports)Strong knowledge of affordable housing regulations and compliance requirements.5 years of experience in affordable housing, real estate development, property management, or municipal government.Proficiency with property management/compliance software (e.g., ResMan, RealPage, MRI, AppFolio, Rent Manager)Benefits & Perks:401(k) with employer matchHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off (PTO) and holidays
