Our client, a leading custom plastics and fabrication manufacturer in Crystal Lake, IL, is seeking a Manufacturing Project Manager to oversee multiple projects from quoting to completion. This hands-on role requires managing engineering, purchasing, material control, quality, and installation phases while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards.This role is ideal for candidates with 5 years of manufacturing project management experience, particularly in plastics, metal fabrication, or other production-based manufacturing environments.Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation AssistanceResponsibilities:Read, interpret, and apply mechanical blueprints and schematics.Track project schedules, budgets, and quality to ensure on-time delivery.Review completed jobs and identify improvements for future projects.Lead and manage multiple custom manufacturing projects simultaneously.Prepare quotes, estimates, and proposals for custom fabrication projects.Oversee project phases: engineering, purchasing, material control, quality, and installation.Communicate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met.Troubleshoot project challenges, recommend solutions, and maintain attention to detail.Qualifications/Must Haves:Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)Self-starter, results-driven, highly organized, and detail-oriented.Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and schematics.5 years of manufacturing project management or project engineering experience in plastics, metal fabrication, machinery manufacturing, or similar production-based environments.Associate degree in engineering, manufacturing, or equivalent technical experience.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under time constraints.Nice-to-Have:Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or E-Drawings.Experience in plastics, injection molding, or custom fabrication projects.Exposure to Lean manufacturing principles or process improvement initiatives.
Salary : $81,000 - $115,000
