Our client is seeking a Maintenance Planner that will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime. This role requires a strong technical background, deep CMMS experience, and the ability to balance preventive maintenance with production priorities.

Requirements:
- Create, prioritize, and track work orders in the CMMS.
- Re-sequence schedules and triage urgent breakdowns as needed.
- Develop weekly maintenance schedules and coordinate multi-craft teams.
- Partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance leadership to align priorities.
- Document job plans and train team members on maintenance processes and systems.
- Manage spare parts inventory, including sourcing, staging, and tracking materials.
- Analyze equipment performance data to recommend reliability improvements.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities to support production and minimize downtime.
- Build, manage, and continuously improve preventive maintenance (PM) programs.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Parts/MRO inventory coordination experience.
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
- Clear communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to train technicians and standardize job plans.
- CMRP or similar credentials are value-adds but not required.
- Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, KPI tracking)
- Strong CMMS proficiency (any major platform acceptable)
- Experience building or improving PM programs, not just executing them.
- Ability to analyze equipment performance and adjust PMs accordingly.
- Calm, structured approach to urgent breakdowns and schedule changes.
- 5 years of hands-on industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience (mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, repairs, reliability work)
- Ability to negotiate schedules and priorities with cross-functional teams.
- Technical/vocational training, associate degree, or trade certifications are a plus.
- 2 years of dedicated planning/scheduling experience in a production environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with sanitation/CIP cycles and their impact on maintenance.
- Experience in medium-to-large plant environments with structured maintenance processes.
- Experience in food production, CPG, beverage, packaging, or general manufacturing.
Salary : $81,000 - $100,000
