Position Overview
ElectriGen is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Microgrids to lead the company’s
microgrid business unit. This executive will drive strategic growth, oversee project
execution, and manage operational performance, ensuring ElectriGen remains a market
leader in resilient, behind-the-meter energy solutions. The VP of Microgrids will report
directly to the COO and collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and business
development teams.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute the strategic vision for ElectriGen’s microgrid business unit.
Lead business development and client engagement for microgrid projects in
commercial, industrial, and mission-critical markets.
Oversee design, engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations of
microgrid projects to ensure safety, quality, and profitability.
Manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L for the microgrid business unit.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, finance,
regulatory) to ensure project success and operational excellence.
Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments to
inform strategy and maintain competitive advantage.
Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation,
accountability, and results.
Represent ElectriGen externally with customers, partners, regulators, and
industry organizations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or related field;
advanced degree preferred (MBA, MSEE, etc.).
15 years of experience in energy systems, with significant exposure to
microgrids, distributed energy resources (DER), or critical power solutions.
Proven track record of leading large, complex energy projects from concept to
completion.
Strong business development, financial, and P&L management experience.
Deep knowledge of microgrid architecture, renewable integration, and energy
storage technologies.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to travel as required for project oversight and client engagement.
