Job Summary
As the Director of Operations, you will oversee all manufacturing, remanufacturing, logistics, and facilities management within our Albany facility. You will be responsible for driving production efficiency, controlling inventory costs, ensuring stringent quality assurance standards, and leading cross-functional teams across production, IT services support, and customer fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
- Production & Operations Leadership: Direct daily operations for manufacturing, remanufacturing, assembly lines, and warehouse distribution.
- Supply Chain & Inventory Management: Oversee procurement, inventory control, parts sourcing, and vendor relationships to optimize material flow and eliminate downtime.
- Quality & Compliance: Maintain high-quality assurance benchmarks for recycled and manufactured products, ensuring full compatibility and performance consistency.
- Process Optimization: Implement Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies to minimize waste, boost throughput, and continuously improve unit margins.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing team of facility managers, technician team leads, and production staff.
- Financial Oversight: Manage department budgets, forecast capital expenditures, and monitor plant operational KPIs to maintain strong profitability.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 7 years of progressive operations or plant management experience in a manufacturing, remanufacturing, or technical equipment assembly environment.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams of 20 direct and indirect reports in an industrial or production setting.
- Technical Acumen: Strong background in supply chain management, inventory oversight (ERP systems experience), and technical continuous improvement strategies.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on leadership experience).
- Skills: Excellent communication, strong analytical decision-making, vendor management, and hands-on operational leadership.
