Assistant Controller / Business & Finance Manager – Family Office, Westside Los Angeles (fully on-site)
We are partnering with a privately held, family-owned office seeking a hands-on finance professional to support the day-to-day financial operations across multiple entities and personal holdings. This role is heavily focused on business management and bookkeeping, with exposure to investments, cash management, and operational support. You’ll work closely with leadership to keep financial activity organized, accurate, and running smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing
Day-to-Day Financial Operations
- Oversee daily bookkeeping across multiple entities, including tracking income, expenses, and vendor payments
- Manage bill pay, invoicing, and collections while maintaining clean and accurate records
- Keep financial data organized across accounts and entities
Cash & Account Oversight
- Monitor cash flow and assist with weekly funding needs
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and investment accounts
- Support wires and transfers with strong attention to accuracy
Reporting & Record Keeping
- Assist with recurring financial reporting for internal use
- Track financial activity across investments, expenses, and entities
- Maintain organized records for contracts, insurance, and financial documentation
Operational & Administrative Support
- Support financial logistics tied to properties, investments, and personal expenses
- Assist with expense tracking and reporting for cardholders
- Coordinate with banks, vendors, and external partners as needed
Systems & Process Improvement
- Utilize QuickBooks or similar systems to maintain accurate financials
- Help improve processes and keep workflows efficient
What They’re Looking For
- 7 years of experience in bookkeeping, business management, or accounting
- Experience supporting high-net-worth individuals, family offices, or private businesses is a plus
- Comfortable managing multiple entities and priorities simultaneously
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and discreet
