We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Process Engineer to support paint operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will focus on new product launches, industrialization projects, process optimization, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing processes are efficient, standardized, and aligned with operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
New Product Introduction
- Provide engineering support during new product launches to ensure successful implementation within established timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and project teams to support industrialization activities.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation and process standards.
Manufacturing Projects & Equipment Implementation
- Support the installation, commissioning, and optimization of new equipment and manufacturing systems.
- Participate in facility and layout improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure all projects comply with safety, quality, and operational requirements.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Perform capacity analysis and identify opportunities for process optimization.
- Conduct time studies and establish labor standards to support productivity improvements.
- Create and maintain plant layouts, workflow analyses, and manufacturing process documentation.
- Develop and update standardized work instructions and ensure their effective deployment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Anticipate equipment and process modifications required to meet production demands.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related field preferred).
Experience
- Experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Recent engineering graduates with internship, co-op, or trainee experience in manufacturing are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Time study and work measurement techniques.
- Manufacturing process analysis and optimization.
- AutoCAD or similar layout/design software.
- Understanding of manufacturing equipment, production flow, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of assembly and production processes is preferred.
